The Outsiders Persuasive- Blog

Hey Chelsea,
I know you have to choose between being a Soc and a greaser. But it’s very easy to choose, you want to be a Soc! Maybe things are rough all over, but they are a lot better when you are a Soc; you get a better chance to have the life you always dreamed of.
Greasers are mean and lifeless people, but We are fun and full of life! The little hoods grow up with no parents no families and they have no clue what love and care means. Our parents though care deeply for us and they love us very much, they give us whatever we ask for! Greasers don’t know how to behave and they don’t have good and polite manners to girls. But our guys, Soc guys, are amazingly polite, loving and they spoil us usually with expensive clothes and jewelry. Those rats talk rude and dirty to girls and they don’t give a damn if they are offending you!
Those poor dogs have no money, well you might say, what do I care if they have no money? But do you want to have friends that steal their cokes, they don’t pay to go to the drive in movies, and like dogs they slip under the fences? No, because you want to be around rich kids, that have Mustangs, organize huge-fun parties that really cute guys attend, and with girls that go shopping 24/7 in the most stylish shops in town. Most of us are cheerleaders and that means that we are popular and everyone wants to be our friend.
The most serious thing is that you have a better chance to make your dream come true. And if, lets say, your dream is to be an actress, then you can go to the best universities in all over the world. When those tramps are drop outs from school, they have no goals in life and they just like to smoke and bit the crap out of each other.
But you don’t want to be around guys who swear like sailors, and girls that are ugly tramps. You don’t want to be friends with guys that make little kids pee in their pants. You don’t want to hang out with people that use the 5-finger discount to feed themselves, and carry guns with them. That have no point, no goal in their life. No, you want to hang out with Us, people that have good manners, are polite, come from good and rich families; that have Mustangs, fancy clothes, and care about life and their future. Because you really want to have a beautiful life, travel and see many things with your friends, later get a job you love, and get married to a guy that respects you. You can have all these, that’s why you must be a Soc!
See you soon,

Scorpions
Scorpions are a heavy metal, hard rock German band. Anyone that is a fan of good hard rock and metal music should know the thrillic Scorpions. Some of their most famous songs are “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “No One Like You”, “Wind of Change”, “Still Loving You”, “Send Me an Angel”, and many other. Scorpions are from Hanover, Germany and they started in 1969. The band has sold over 75 million albums worldwide and they were in place 46 at VH1’s Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Now, the incredible band concludes of: Klaus Meine, is the lead vocals and rhythm guitar since 1970 until now. Matthias Jabs is the lead and rhythm guitarist of the band since 1978. Rudolf Schenker is also the rhythm and lead guitarist and backing vocals, he was the one that actually started the group in 1965 and then everyone joined in! Pawel Maciwoda is playing the bass and backing vocals since 2003. James Kottak is playing the drums, percussion and backing vocals since 1996. Many guitarists came and went, others left to go to other bands, others had health problems, but Meine and Schenker are the ones that didn’t change and Meine’s voice, for me, is what makes Scorpions so incredible. I must say that Scorpion’s album covers were not so appropriate and some stores refused to sell some of their albums. I find them quite daring especially if you recall that were the ‘80s. And there are some very daring video clips that shocked me( I didn’t except something like that from the ‘70s-‘80s, really if it was now days I wouldn’t even notice, but it’s some long time ago and things were different back then!).
The video that I choose is “The Wind of Change”. This song was written for the Cold war, the wall that divided Germany. Every time I listen to this song it gives me the chills. It makes me feel the pain and how strong those people had felt when the wall was built and separated the country. Many people were killed during that time and I must say that this video is quite touching. Scorpions had many successful songs that were top hits at the time, and I must admit that Meine’s voice is magnificent, dreaming. His voice is amazing and I just can’t put it in words the way it makes me feel. Every time I am sad or really angry I turn the volume to the full and I just listen to Scorpions and they send me to heaven! “Always Somewhere”, “Holiday”, “You and I”, “Still Loving You” are some of my favorite songs, but there are so many that I can’t write them all down. Scorpions totally rocked the ‘70s and ‘80s and until now they do concerts around the world and if I have the chance I wouldn’t miss it for the world to attend to one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2Eyao-2KWo&feature=channel ( Unfortunately there are no codes for this video :S)

News Flash-A baby needs to survive

The baby’s parents didn’t have a lot of food at home so they decided that it was time for their son to learn how to survive on his own. They told him to feed himself, without eating the furniture and to take care of the dog. As soon as they left, he grabbed the dog’s foot and started to clean it, but since he was so hungry he got tempted and tried a bite of the dog’s foot. But it was so delicious that he ate all of it! Thank God dog’s have four feet!!! :)

The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe
But even yet I refrained and kept still. I scarcely breathed. I held the lantern motionless. I tried how steadily I could maintain the ray upon the eye. Meantime the hellish tattoo of the heart increased. It grew quicker and quicker, and louder and louder, every instant. The old man's terror must have been extreme! It grew louder, I say, louder every moment! -- do you mark me well? I have told you that I am nervous: so I am. And now at the dead hour of the night, amid the dreadful silence of that old house, so strange a noise as this excited me to uncontrollable terror. Yet, for some minutes longer I refrained and stood still. But the beating grew louder, louder! I thought the heart must burst. And now a new anxiety seized me -- the sound would be heard by a neighbour! The old man's hour had come! With a loud yell, I threw open the lantern and leaped into the room. He shrieked once -- once only. In an instant I dragged him to the floor, and pulled the heavy bed over him. I then smiled gaily, to find the deed so far done. But for many minutes the heart beat on with a muffled sound. This, however, did not vex me; it would not be heard through the wall. At length it ceased. The old man was dead. I removed the bed and examined the corpse. Yes, he was stone, stone dead. I placed my hand upon the heart and held it there many minutes. There was no pulsation. He was stone dead. His eye would trouble me no more.
